I wonder if somebody can help? I was trying to use a program and browsing through my drives to locate files, but although all my folders show up I can’t find any of my files within my folders. It doesn’t seem to matter whether they’re text files or MP3’s, I can’t seem to locate them on any of my drives when I’m looking for the files I want to work with. Any ideas as to how I can get them to display? Thanks for reading.

Not enough information. What OS are you using, and in which program are you looking for your files.

Right. You said you were trying to use a program, what program?

Hi. This is occurring when I try to use Total Recorder and MP3 volume, but I suspect it's also the same with other programs as well. When I open the program and it asks me for files I want to work with, I press the browse button to look for those files, but although folders seem to show up in all the drives I look at individual files aren't being displayed even though they're there when I look through Windows Explorer. Any idea what's going on? Thanks again.

You know when the files show, do you then open that folder?
If they show in Windows explorer, then they are there of course.
Depending on the program, the feature might not be accessible, so to make it work, you would type, or paste the file name in the search place, then it will show, or be available to you.
Just a suggestion.

I forgot to add.
You still don't say what OS you are using?
It matters.

Is Total Recorder set to show a certain file type (there may be a dropdown list
in the open dialog)? If it is, other file types probably won't show in the list.f

Sorry, forereel. I'm using Windows 7.

Have you tried pressing the tab key after you find the file name? Sometimes opening it means going down by using tab instead of pressing enter.
Just an idea.

As ,entioned previously, your program will be looking for a particular filetype which it isn't finding. Change this option to all files if available, by tabbing to it and arrowing to the correct option.
